Partners
Portmarnock SEC are keen to learn and gain from the experiences of others and to this end we have teamed up with Dunleer SEC (energyteam.ie). Dunleer SEC was founded in 2015 and since then they have retrofitted over 300 homes. We agreed to partner with them in 2021 and will work with them to retrofit our first homes in 2022.

The journey so far
We registered our Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) with the SEC Network of over 300 communities in Ireland, and obtained funding from Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to develop our Energy Master Plan.
Our Energy Master Plan was delivered in March 2021 and has given us a baseline for the energy usage in Portmarnock and a register of opportunities.
This website was developed with the support of a grant from Fingal County Council
Next Steps
The next step is to present the Energy Master Plan to our wider community and begin to carry out energy efficiency projects with grant support from SEAI.
We are ready to help the residents of Portmarnock retrofit their homes, businesses and community spaces.
